Adam J. Brittle

Adam grew up in Portland and began studying electrical engineering at Oregon State University in 1993. After three years in Corvallis, he transferred to the University of Colorado Boulder and completed his engineering degree. He then spent six years working as an electrical engineer, principally at Intel in Hillsboro.

In 2002, while still working full time at Intel, Adam entered the evening program at Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. The schedule demanded the same habits that had served him in engineering: preparation, close attention to detail, and the ability to work through complicated systems without losing sight of their practical purpose.

Adam left Intel in 2004 to clerk at Swanson, Thomas & Coon, where he worked with lawyers handling workers’ compensation, personal injury, litigation, and legal writing. He later served at Multnomah Defenders as a certified law student, appearing for clients in misdemeanor trials, arraignments, motions, and DUII diversion proceedings.

After graduating and joining the Oregon State Bar in 2006, Adam co-founded West Valley Law Group in Corvallis. His work there included criminal defense, civil litigation, and personal injury. He later returned to Portland and developed an extensive family-law practice through Brittle & Brittle P.C. and Pacific Family Law Firm, while continuing to handle contested hearings, trials, and appeals.
