Terms of Use

The conditions that apply when you use this website, read its legal information, or contact Pacific Injury Law Firm.

Effective July 10, 2026

These terms govern use of pacificinjurylawfirm.com. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The website provides general information about Oregon personal injury law and the firm’s services. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer who has reviewed the facts of a specific matter.

Laws, court decisions, deadlines, and procedures change. Although the firm works to keep the site accurate, it does not promise that every page is complete, current, or applicable to a particular situation. Do not act or refrain from acting solely because of website content.

No attorney-client relationship

Viewing the website, sending a contact form, calling the office, exchanging preliminary messages, or receiving general information does not create an attorney-client relationship. The firm has no duty to act on your behalf unless it agrees to represent you and you sign a formal fee agreement provided by the firm.

For a contingent-fee matter, Oregon Rule of Professional Conduct 1.5(c) requires a written agreement signed by the client. Until an agreement is signed, you remain responsible for every filing deadline, notice requirement, limitation period, and other action needed to protect your rights.

Information sent to the firm

A person who consults a lawyer about possible representation may be a prospective client under Oregon Rule of Professional Conduct 1.18. The firm handles information received during a genuine prospective-client consultation in accordance with its professional duties, even if representation does not follow.

This does not mean that every unsolicited message is automatically protected by the attorney-client privilege. Privilege depends on the purpose and circumstances of the communication under Oregon Evidence Code Rule 503. Before the firm confirms that it can consider the matter, send only enough information to identify the parties, the general type of claim, important dates, and a safe way to contact you.

Deadlines and emergencies

The website is not monitored continuously. A submitted message may not be reviewed immediately. Do not use the site for an emergency or rely on it to preserve a claim, meet a court deadline, appeal, provide statutory notice, or stop a limitation period. Call the appropriate emergency service when immediate safety is at risk.

Attorney advertising and results

This website may be considered attorney advertising. Descriptions of experience, case outcomes, testimonials, or past matters are provided for context. They do not promise or guarantee a similar result. Every matter depends on its own facts, law, evidence, available insurance, damages, venue, and other circumstances.

The firm intends its communications to be truthful and not misleading, consistent with Oregon Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1 and 7.2.

Oregon practice and no guarantee of availability

The website is directed primarily to people seeking information about Oregon law. Website availability in another jurisdiction does not mean that the firm seeks or is authorized to practice there. The firm may decline any inquiry, including because of a conflict of interest, timing, subject matter, or capacity.

Permitted use and intellectual property

You may read, print, or share website pages for personal, noncommercial use if you do not remove attribution or alter the material in a misleading way. The site’s original text, design, graphics, and other material are owned by or licensed to Pacific Injury Law Firm and may not be republished commercially without written permission.

  • Do not interfere with the site’s operation or security.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Do not use automated tools in a way that burdens the site or circumvents access controls.
  • Do not submit unlawful, threatening, deceptive, or malicious material.

Links to courts, agencies, medical resources, news organizations, or other third parties are provided for convenience. The firm does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, security, accessibility, availability, or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.

Disclaimer and limitation

The website is provided as available, without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent permitted by law, Pacific Injury Law Firm is not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website information, inability to access the site, malicious third-party activity, or content on a linked third-party site. Nothing in these terms limits a duty or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law and changes

Oregon law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The firm may update the terms as its website or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions may be submitted through the website contact form or directed to (971) 277-3811.
