A tragic incident unfolded on Thursday evening when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at the intersection of Northwest Sherlock Avenue and Northwest Nicolai Street in Portland. The Portland Police Bureau's Major Crash Team is currently investigating the fatal accident that occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m.

On arrival at the scene, officers from the Central Precinct found the man deceased. In response, the Major Crash Team has taken over the investigation to determine the details surrounding the incident.
