Yamhill County, Oregon | July 25, 2024

Oregon State Police (OSP) is urgently seeking witnesses following a serious injury collision that occurred on July 25, 2024, involving a Pontiac vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle. The incident took place at the intersection of Lafayette Hwy. (Hwy. 154) and Amity Road (Hwy. 153) in Yamhill County at approximately 6:55 a.m.

The crash involved a northbound white Pontiac G6 on Hwy. 153, which collided with a southbound green Peterbilt commercial motor vehicle. The impact of the collision resulted in serious injuries to both the driver of the Pontiac and a three-year-old passenger.

OSP is particularly interested in speaking with the driver of a white pickup truck that was traveling southbound ahead of the semi-truck, as well as any individuals who may have witnessed the Pontiac's deviation from its lane. Additionally, the troopers are seeking to contact a witness who assisted in extracting the child from the vehicle post-collision.

This call for witnesses underscores the importance of gathering comprehensive witness testimony to aid in the investigation and potentially address commercial truck accident injury claims. Such information is crucial for reconstructing the accident accurately and ensuring all involved parties receive the justice and support they need.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to come forward and contact Trooper Yoder at the OSP's Northern Command Center by calling 800-442-0776, citing case number SP24-237776.
