Fatal Tractor-Trailer Crash in Lloyd District Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

A devastating pedestrian accident early Sunday morning in Portland's Lloyd District claimed the life of one person and left another with serious injuries. The incident took place at approximately 2:46 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Holladay Street.

Portland Police officers from the North Precinct responded promptly to the scene, locating two pedestrians who had been struck by a tractor-trailer. One was pronounced dead at the scene. Driver Fled Scene, Later Detained by Police

The driver of the tractor-trailer failed to remain at the scene of the collision. However, a witness followed the vehicle and notified authorities.
