Portland police said the death of Jamal Rodgers remains under active investigation after his body was recovered from Johnson Creek near Southeast 102nd Avenue and Southeast Foster Road. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide and police said no arrests have been made.

Portland police say the driver who died after a January 5 crash in Northeast Portland has been identified as 40-year-old Jerry D. Brown of Portland. Investigators say the vehicle crashed after eluding officers, struck a parked car, and caught fire.
