Portland police say a man was arrested after an early morning shooting in the Parkrose neighborhood that left another adult male with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers from North Precinct responded at about 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, to a motel in the 11300 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found the victim seriously injured. He was taken to a local hospital.
Police say the suspect fled on foot, leading officers to set up a perimeter and search the area. About an hour later, officers detained an adult male for questioning. The bureau says the detained man, 40-year-old Pryce Lampkin, was formally arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.
